Under India-75, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Mentorship Scheme during mann ki baat for young writers living in different-different parts of India and speaking different different languages. Prime Minister said that the writers should write about the freedom fighters of their area so that the country can know about them, he also promoted writers to write books about them.
The focus of Mentorship Scheme is not only to promote writers but also to let the people of India know about their freedom fighters, they may not be in the mainstream, but their sacrifice always will be. Mentorship Scheme is a tribute for our freedom fighters and it will also promote our regional languages as well.
The mentorship for selected writers will be around 6 to 9 months and in this period they will be getting scholarship and if their books got selected the government of india will publish their books and they will get royalty for that.
